phew

last day of nablopomo. i did it! i blogged every. single. day.

im almost blogged out. i dont even know what to write anymore. but i wont go on a *fake* blogging break or anything dramatic like that haha.

now i have to go do homework and possibly have time to craft. school is almost over and im going crazy. three more weeks and we're going back to arizona for christmas!

thrift finds

i went to an awesome thrift store with my mom. i cant wait til i clean things up and then i'll post pictures. anyone know of any awesome thrift stores around the provo/orem area? (besides DI of course)

trip highlights

well, we are back. we had a lot of fun, and got spoiled. i also might have spent too much money, but dont tell josh. my mom and i hit up some awesome fabric stores though, including one on black friday for 40% off. anyways, here are some photo highlights of our trip...

so, my mom got us some little presents. one of joshs was silly string. [thanks mom...] lets just say i was brutally attacked.

that ball was how much string was all over me. yikes.

on thanksgiving morning we went shooting, as i mentioned in my before posts. it was pretty fun. josh was throwing the clay pigeons for the first part. check out his action shot:

our first thanksgiving in arizona

...was lovely.

we woke up this morning and went shooting, doing clay pigeons and target practice. my parents have this notion that i am an excellent shot, based on this one time we went shooting when i was like 12 and i was awesome. well, i dont know how true that held today, but i think i hit some targets a couple times...hopefully...

then we had the WONDERFUL thanksgiving meal. yum. my mom knows how to cook!!!

after dinner and clean up etc etc we went out to this beautiful lake and went boating. it was a blast. i cant wait to post pictures, and i even have a video or two...be excited :]

all in all, a lovely day. lots of fun with people we love = a lot to be thankful for ♥

fun day #2

today we did lots of activities. we met my moms friend laura who is so sweet. there is a house across the street from her for sale and my moms brain is churning! its close to their house, has about an acre, ~less than 5 years old, etc etc. oh, and very affordable (as in, we actually would be saving money compared to what we make now). i dont think i could survive out here in the summer though, so it more than likely will not happen (sorry mom!).

we went into town and went to the store and went to ulta (i wish we had one in provo!) and that was fun. we made tons of food, including rice crispie treats with chocolate ganache on top. yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!! it was quite the treat. tonight we played canasta, which is actually a pretty fun game. josh and my mom will tell you they won, but its questionable...

then we watched angels and demons, which was interesting... you'll probably see a movie review on it soon.

anyways, its late, and the parade comes on at 8am. josh has this crazy notion he will be waking me up and dragging me out to the couch. ha! goodnight ♥

hello, warm weather!

we made it to arizona today! yay! flying is SO much better than driving. by the time they hand drinks out and you drink it, its ready for descent. its awesome.

my mom picked us up and had cute little presents for us. i quickly devoured the candy portion of the gift haha. then we went and visited my dad at work, and he was able to take his lunch break and we had lunch together as a family ♥

then we went to this awesome fabric store. i wanted to buy everything. i bought fabric strips, fat quarters, and some really cute flannel (think the hungry little caterpillar). it was fun.

then we went to the house. it is awesome. my parents have finished moving in, and everything is super nice. i love it. i even got chilly at one point, even though its like 75 degrees out.

i love vacation. and how my parents cook for us and its all healthy and stuff. usually we have a girl named wendy make our dinners, or this guy called red baron. i dont know if you know them? anyways, it is so nice here and it is fabulous to spend time with my parents. they are taking good care of us for sure♥

guess what?

my husband just cleaned our whole apartment while i was watching family guy and parks & recreation. he is awesome, and i dont really know what i would do without him. so ummm maybe i should go help him now :]

i canNOT wait for thanksgiving!!! we are leaving for phoenix on tuesday. for all of you who dont know, thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. yumm. i cant wait for rolls, pumpkin chocolate-chip bread, rolls, turkey, rolls, etc. haha, can you tell im obsessed with rolls?

i liked having people tell me about their fave foundation. (as a result, i might try out bare minerals, we shall see...) so, i have another question for you. what do you feel about nail polish? you like it, you think its immature, you think its...[fill in the blank]?

personally i love nail polish. growing up i would get embarassed to wear it (for some reason i do not understand) and i didnt start wearing it til my later years in high school, and my nails are almost always polished since then. i bought professional base coat, top coat, cuticle nourisher, etc like what they use at the salon. i love it. i always have a great manicure without paying for it :]

what is your favorite kind of foundation?

i have been using MAC moistureblend cream foundation, and then i use mary-kay mineral powder on top of that. i like the mineral powder but i cant use it by itself because it wont cover my acne. im kind of interested in liquid foundation, but i dont know. anyways, tell me what you wear!

how refreshing

we had a guest lecture today in my business class, and he was awesome. he was really down to earth, funny, and laid back. he did the whole lecture from a chair on the front row. the room is shaped like a semi-circle, so everyone could see him and stuff, so he was just chillin in his chair and talking to us. apparently he teaches the same class as the one im in, and i almost wish i had been in his class! he was a riot! although i am learning a lot right now, but i digress...

the guest lecturer said something that i really liked, and ive been thinking about ever since. he said: "youre only young once! live your life, and get more Cs in college! everyone needs to mellow out, this is not the real world!" i think it was sort of meant to be because i have been stressing myself out with school. i went to bed last night at 3am, and then woke up at 7:30 to run up to my 8am class. i over obsess about everything school-related, as in im not good enough and then stress out. your life is made of experiences, so have some!

he also made fun of this girl that was asking all these questions at the start of class (and then later left). he goes, "good grief, did you see that poor girl obsessing about an assignment in a pass/fail class!? its pass/fail! all these nerds at byu need to calm down!"

anyways, it was just refreshing to hear, especially at such a prestigious school like BYU. he was saying how jumping through all these hoops and doing busy work is a waste, and that is not the real world. so live your life and get more C's!

you probly think this post is about you... haha, too bad because it's about my favorite topic: me. just kidding, that isnt my favorite topic, but i admit that i am a vain person. excuse me, openly admit. i want to look nice. people say, "oh, well you're married already so what do you care about looking good?" to which i reply, "umm, iiiiiii care. i want to look good for myself." after years of looking ugly (think ugly duckling, id like to think that is my story), i revel in the fact that i have the ability to look good. and i try to take advantage of it (key word: try).


here is another picture from my shoot the other night. probably my favorite one, even though the motorcycle may seem kind of stupid, i dont care. i think i look good, and thats all that matters ♥

*update/disclaimer: calling myself the story of the ugly duckling is in no way meant to be offensive to my parents or anyone else. both of my parents are attractive, and my sister is really pretty, so i have good genes (no worries!). it was more the fact that i needed glasses, braces, and to learn how to control my cuckoo hair!

ive posted over 300 times. you'd think by now if i had anything interesting to say id have like 800 followers and be raking in the dough from sponsors/ads. i guess i am just that boring...

remember this?

we got married in may 2008, then i cut my hair off. im glad i waited til after our wedding, because then my hair looked good for my pictures haha. when i cut it...it was...questionable.

so it was cut on a diagonal, with the shortest being what is seen on the right side of my face (when you're looking at the picture. it isnt behind my back or anything, it's that short on that side). sometime in fall 2008 i cut my hair all the same length, and it was considerably shorter.christmas 2008 hair (all one length, but a little shorter)

that was then, this is now. weird, huh? my hair is super long and i love it. i mean, it takes FOREVER to do, but i still love it. especially when i have time to do it and make it purty.

there was this girl on americas next top model, cycle...8? i cant remember, there are too many. anyways, every pose she did looked mean. one time the panel said strike a few poses for us, and she did, and for every one the panel said "mean...mean...mean..." a lot of times in pictures i sort of have this affect too, unless i am smiling. its something i need to work on...
