recent events
on saturday we left henry with a babysitter for the first time. thankfully we have sarah and ryan who are baby pros, and they were nice enough to watch him. we went out with emily and dave to dinner at costa vida, and then to the movies. we saw "the grey", which i personally thought was just ok. i can see how people like it, but it was too emotional for me. i lasted about an hour and a half until i texted sarah to see how henry was doing. thankfully he was fine and had a good night over there (here's the proof):

sarah watched henry again yesterday while i went to the dentist. you know that one filling that i have? as in, the only filling that i have? that tooth has been hurting, and of course i got all paranoid-y and was worried i might need a root canal. it ended up being another cavity (that tooth just doesn't like me i guess!), so i got a filling. it was a nice little valentines day present.
speaking of valentines day, it's not a huge holiday around these parts. but like i said on facebook yesterday, "I love my husband every day of the year. But I'll just throw it out there that I'll never say no to candy..." lets face it, if theres a holiday that involves me getting candy, i'm down.
also, henry is 2 months old today (whaaat?). i did a blog post about it here. let's just say it, he's getting kind of old... ;)

kitty montage
yesterday i sat in bed reading and relaxing, and my little cuddle bug came and found me. he was adorable, and it made reading that much more enjoyable :)
then...it was torture time. for the record it wasn't my idea, but i ended up helping. about once or twice a year we give jay-z a bath. we have this lavender mint animal shampoo that makes him all fluffy and [apparently] smell really good. we used the kitchen sink since it has one of those sprayer things, which made it go more smoothly than when we gave him baths at our apartment, when it was just under the faucet.

this is poor little kitty afterwards. he wasnt too happy with us. i blowdried him off a bit so he would stop shivering.
and then he sat in the corner and got to business. poor little kitty!
last night we went to dinner at costa vida and then went and saw bridesmaids again. it really is hilarious. we'll do a movie review soon... speaking of reviews, and cats, i finally did the review for african cats on we review last week.
are you guys doing anything fun for the long weekend?

tiffany blue? what?
well hello there. i am just SO busy and important that i dont even have time to brush my hair at night, much less blog. oh wait...i never brush my hair. and in actuality i just get really lazy and tired from working haha. call me a wimp if you'd like, but i could take any of you anyday! just dont hold me to that...
an-y-ways...
this weekend was fun. lots of hanging out with friends, shopping, and movies. we desperately need to update our movie review blog, especially since we FINALLY saw kings speech this weekend. it was fabulous. i kind of went into it thinking i would hate it and it would be boring. however, it was delightful. i would recommend it to anyone. [also, sidenote: it's really just a PG movie, with about 1.5 minutes of swearing to make the king relax, and its pretty comical--just had to make that clear].
also, we got lots of house stuff of course. i keep saying i want a "pouf" for my closet, so i have something to sit on while i put my shoes on and stuff. also, just to keep things classy. there was this really fancy one at target that was animal print and gorgeous, and i was going to get it. it was $42. then i saw this cheapo one for $16. so....i decided to be money smart and get the cheaper one. it gets the job done, and i still love the color(tiffany blue? what?)! [[i figure i can upgrade to a fancy one in the future when i get rich]]. also, my little queen approves, so what else matters?

he seriously thinks it's his personal throne. pretty funny. also this weekend we got a long ottoman thingy from Ross, some cool vases, a [drumroll...] microwave, and some shelving and stuff. tonight our friend-slash-personal-handyman jeff came and installed our microwave for us, and also hung our tv on the wall. things are really shaping up around here!
stay tuned, for when my life gets more interesting :) haha thanks. ♥

dont worry...
i'm just busy being all cute and junk. oh wait...i'm not so cute wearing this get up:

but i'm showing it so my mom knows i'm safe :) and so you guys know i'm actually working and not just ignoring everyone in the blogging world. hahaha.
also, oscars... what a kings speech-fest, eh? i think we might finally be seeing it this weekend if we have time. and then maybe my tune will change, but it was really annoying. also annoying? anne hathaway. ughhhhhhh. i wish james franco would have pushed her off the stage! the only redeeming little act of hers was when she sang. otherwise i really just wanted her to slip and fall. too much? oh well...
night! ♥
ps: i asked my boss if i could have a purple hard hat... he said maybe for christmas ;)

funny weekend happenings..
last night we went to the movies. josh wanted to get candy, so we went to the concessions. i wasn't really paying attention and i thought josh asked for "squiggle worms," and then both josh and the employee kind of did an awkward laugh. i got a water (it was 5 bucks, dont bring it up...) and then we went into the theater. while we were sitting in there, our friend shannon asked for a worm. she looked at the box and goes... "umm, didn't you call these S-Q worms?" i looked over at josh, realizing that he had said that, and it all started to set in. shannon said, "umm, yeah. can i have some sqworms please? bet you feel kinda stupid now..." we all cracked up over the confusion of play on words, and josh laughed so hard he was crying. for the rest of the night we kept referring to them as S-Q worms. it was pretty funny...
pronounce: squirms. called: S-Q worms. love it.
also, we have had this pink snuggie in our closet since forever (still in the box). this morning i was wearing my huge fluffy pink bathrobe and josh goes: "i want to wear the snuggie today!" so after we got home from church josh whips it out of the box and puts it on. it was so funny that it was cute. then of course he started jumping around going "look at me in my snuggie!" and then doing the silly things they do in the commercials ["look, i can get up and cheer for alabama!" jumps up and cheers]. while he refused to let me take a picture, i managed to snap one to have proof. it was also a kitty action shot.
doesnt he look good in pink? maybe he should eat some S-Q worms in it. hahahaha. love you juji ♥EDIT: this conversation occured sunday night (after this post was published)...
josh: i whip my hair back n forth! i whip my hair back n forth!
me: stop it... you're going to give kitty whiplash with your snuggie!

"what's a first down?"
we saw 'devil' last night. our review is here. josh didn't think it was scary at all, but i was terrified of course. scary movies just make me so tense! i'm also a very jumpy person, which did not bode well with this movie. there are definitely a lot of jumpy moments. there was one moment where i jumped and gasped all at the same time because i was so freaked out. the only reason this movie was ok to me was because it actually does have a positive message at the end.
in non-devil related news (haha), i am officially done with my job. i've been applying just about everywhere, and hoping to hear good news about some environmental jobs by the end of this month (who knows though..). i also have a temporary job that i started this week, selling clothes for lilac clothing at costco (they do 10-day roadshows at costco's all over the place, as well as sell in high end boutiques worldwide). when i first looked up their website i was like "ohh, it's just maternity clothes, nevermind." then i kept looking, and realized it's not just maternity. it's made for all body types, and in actuality 85% of the customers are not pregnant.
it will be a fun job, and i've already worn some of their clothing, which i like. yesterday i was telling josh "if we ever get pregnant, at least i'll have some clothes already that i could keep wearing through my pregnancy!" haha. the clothes are a lot less expensive at the road shows (than online), since they have a special deal with costco.
so if you want to come see me, stop by at the orem costco Tuesday 3-8:30 or Friday 9:45-3:15. even if you don't want to buy clothes, i would still love it if you stopped by to say hello! also, if you know of any full-time jobs in the area, holla at yo' girl!
i hope everyone has a lovely weekend. tonight is the alabama game, which will probably be our biggest excitement around these parts. roll tide!

one of my true loves
so, i dont know if you have picked up on this, but we love movies. LOVE. so much so that we started a movie review blog: we review. and now i am going to tell you about myself, in regards to movies. if you've actually read through our review blog you will know that i posted this on there a while back, so i apologize for the repeat.
if there's one thing i have always loved as a hobby, it's movies. and yes, i consider it a sort of hobby. if people ask the weird question "so what do you like to do in your free time?" i give them an awkward stare and then say "we love watching movies."

when i was little i used to watch my favorite movies over and over and over. on this list were: 101 dalmations (my fave as a youngster), shirley temple movies, and my fair lady. i was raised watching disney, shirley temple, and musicals (state fair, oklahoma, brigadoon, the divorcee, singing in the rain, sound of music, etc).
my movie tastes have changed (obviously), and now i love dramas and comedy, and some action movies. juji loves scary movies so my viewing of those has increased, but usually begrudgingly. i have left the theater a time or two when i get too scared...true story. i also hate gore. anything gory is absolutely disgusting to me. violence is not appealing to me. if it is in some sort of action movie i can usually be ok, but i just hate it.

there are some movies i refuse to watch, which i think are just stupid. example, the twilight movies. another example, transformers 2 (i wasted enough of my time watching the first one). if anything looks too childish or unbelievable, or based on a stupid book, i wont watch it.
anyways, i just love movies, and feel like i have a pretty good grasp on if they are awful or not. (dont ask juji though, because he will bring up movies i like such as "failure to launch" or "sex and the city" and then will say i have movie faults). you can decide for yourself though.
some of my favorite movies are: best in show, baby mama, gran torino, slumdog millionaire, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, misery, the river wild, changeling, dark knight, date night, and many more

favorite actresses: zooey deschanel, kathy bates, tina fey, amy poehler, lisa kudrow, kate winslet, meryl streep, sarah jessica parker, britney murphy (rip), and some other ones i can't think of right now...
so go check out our movie blog! what are your favorite movies or actresses? i love being nosy... [plus, i'll just be honest. i sort of judge you based on what movies you like. ok not really...well, kind of. we can still be friends though]
ps: i realize this post is sort of shameless self promotion for our review blog. and i'm ok with that. please dont be a hater.
pps: one of our more "controversial" posts is on alice in wonderland. because we um.....didnt like it. and now i'm going to run away before i get burned at the stake.
