but i'm showing it so my mom knows i'm safe :) and so you guys know i'm actually working and not just ignoring everyone in the blogging world. hahaha.

also, oscars... what a kings speech-fest, eh? i think we might finally be seeing it this weekend if we have time. and then maybe my tune will change, but it was really annoying. also annoying? anne hathaway. ughhhhhhh. i wish james franco would have pushed her off the stage! the only redeeming little act of hers was when she sang. otherwise i really just wanted her to slip and fall. too much? oh well...

4. jay-z is cute, but when he wakes me up from me trying to sleep off my first migraine ever, it makes me want to put him in a straight jacket (don't come after me PETA!!)

i ♥ my mailman

hey guys, i've been a total blog slacker this week. like i said in my last post, i have just been exhausted!! i've been going to bed early, taking naps in the afternoons, and being all around lazy. i'm hoping to catch up on everyones blogs tomorrow after church, and get some crafting done in preparation for the bijou market!

funny story from today: i was coming home from jeff and darci's this morning (i went there w/jay-z because our landlord had to come over and fix some stuff in our apt, and of course our little kitty is illegal...) and when i was walking up my walkway, the mailman was picking up our mail. i stood to wait for him to get done so i could get past him, and this is the convo that ensued...

mailman: going for the movie star look today, huh?
me: umm...yeah? (???)
mailman: awesome
me: ...every day!

i looked pretty scrubby, so unless he meant i looked like "stars w/no makeup," i think it was because i was wearing my beyonce glasses. they aren't really beyonce glasses, that's just what i call my sunglasses, they're from nordstrom (as seen here). they look like something beyonce would wear. or maybe that's just me flattering myself...

the show was AMAZING!! zooey and m. ward were awesome and it was so much fun. they sang a ton of songs, her voice is gorgeous, and of course SHE is gorgeous!! we were so close i was like *ahhhh, zooey!!!* it was incredible. in the middle of the show, in between songs, they stopped and matt joked, "we just found out there are over 560,000 people here!" i looked it up today because i knew that wasn't right, and apparently there were around 30,000 people there.

you have NO IDEA how excited i am!!! i have loved she & him since they started (08). and of course i have loved zooey for years. we're talking full-blown-girl-crush-i-want-to-be-her-loved. and now i finally get to see her up close and personal. well...as close as i'm allowed haha. hopefully i can get some good pictures and i'll fill you all in on how it was!! ♥

what do you think? i'm starting to second guess it but i guess i could just dye it back to a darker brown pretty easily. i sort of feel like sandra bullock on that movie 'all about steve' (which i never saw except for the previews).

also, is anyone watching the bet awards? chris brown, while still a scumbag, is definitely winning points back tonight. i didnt realize he could dance so well. after tonight everyone will be back to loving him and thinking he is all cute and young and innocent. nevermind the fact that he beats women. as josh said after chris brown attempted to sing man in the mirror: "yeah chris brown...how bout you attempt that change..."

i will say though, props to him for doing such a good tribute to michael jackson. we love mj in this household. if you havent seen "this is it" yet, you really need to. go watch it NOW. [i believe it's streaming on netflix!]
