traumatic and ecstatic

traumatic:
i took jay-z to the vet today. he hasn't gotten shots in like...2 years. oops? he's an inside cat so it's never been a big concern. but pretty soon here we're taking him with us to arizona for a bit so we wanted to make sure he's in tip-top shape before the trip.

the poor thing was a wreck. the shots were the worst part, especially for me. now i understand why parents can cry/get upset when their baby gets shots. i almost started crying... they pull the scruff of their neck so tight that poor jay-z's eyes were all bugged out and creepy. it was horrible. thankfully he survived, and once we got back home he finally forgave me for the experience and loved on me again.

ecstatic:
so you know how i wrote that i think we found a house? well...we put an offer on that house and they countered it within hours and we accepted it! you know what that means? WE HAVE A HOUSE! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! we won't be closing for 60 days (maybe sooner), so that gives us some time to start processing the fact that we will actually be home-owners. it still keeps boggling my mind whenever i think about it. lets just say we've been watching a lot of HGTV lately in preparation...

when we go to the house with the home inspection guy i am going to snap some pictures so i can post them. the listing has already been taken offline, and i didn't even think to save the pictures on there before.. so hopefully i can post some soon! so stay tuned....! [[eep!]]

Congrats on becoming a home owner!

I can relate on the kitty shots! Of course mine turns into a little monster and hisses and scratchs and I have to tell them "She really is nice...I promise" while she's trying to claw them to bits. Ha!

Congratulations on the house! I'm a bit jealous, I have to admit. Can't wait to see photos! I love living vicariously through other people. :)

Congratulations on the house! I know.. the vets are horrible.. we had to take Ninja to the vet this week for her vaccinations.. it took 3 of us to get her in the cage. N then when she was there just looking like... why is this strange man touching meeeee :'(

Yay, congrats on your house! It is so much fun, but a TON of work...lol. We haven't taken our cat to get regular shots either...I figure for an indoor cat that never goes anywhere it doesn't matter. Poor kitty :(
