butt kicking and booty shaking

tonight i went to zumba with my friend emily. have you heard of zumba? it is INSANE! here's a little video for you to get a sneak peek of it, but it was hardcore!

literally after 5 minutes i was short of breath and my legs were shaking. granted i am SUPER out of shape, since i havent been exercising and for my last month of work w/the forest service i only hiked maybe 3 or 4 times. it was 50 minutes of non stop craziness. at the end all i could say was "holy doodooballs!" it was definitely a fun way to work out, and took me back to my dancing days. i think i want to keep doing it. who's with me? haha

what do you do to keep fit? i dont run unless its a life or death situation, so that's out of the question for me. but what else do you do?

thats awesome, i didn't know that! i really want to keep doing it. i just need to channel my self-discipline haha.

I've never done Zumba before but it does seem like a lot of fun.

My work outs mainly consist of yoga and some cardio. I love doing yoga, it just feels soo good and its about where you are at that moment, you can't have an ego in yoga. And then I do cardio (elliptical) when I want to wear myself out :)

I don't run. Unless there is a need to, like fire or death.

lol! Before i got sick i was a rower. Row row row my boat... i cant run. so rowing was good.. but it took lots of training. in college i trained for about two hours a day

ugh Zumba! i have NO coordination whatsoever so i put my foot down at 'dancy' or 'step' type fitness classes.

i'm ridic out of shape now, but back when i didn't totally suck, i used to take a circuit training class, which is like the best workout ever! plus i got in to weight training, which i'm completely in love with and will start again ONE OF THESE BLEEPING DAYS!! uuugh!! motivation WHERE ARE YOU?!?!

i have gone to zumba before, it is really fun. i hate going to gyms so it didn't feel like that to me just like i was dancing in a club or something! i ride my bike everyday and go on long rides with my husband, i love working out in nature!

Zumba is a ton of fun! I just recently started teaching a class that's kind of like it, choreographed dances, just not to only Latin music.
We're having a blast and it allows me to drink many pumpkin lattes without feeling one bit guilty of their calorie count.
