oops...

so...yesterday was our flight to maine.




we missed it.


that has never happened to either of us. we just didnt plan enough time. i partly blame the slc airport's layout. we first went into covered parking, which we thought was the same, but was NOT the same as economy parking. it was $28/day. so we had to exit and go back around and re-enter the airport. then we went into economy, which was far away, and had to take a shuttle and all that nonsense. by the time we got to the terminal it was about 6:55AM. our flight was scheduled at 7:20. i ran up to the lady at the desk and asked if we were in time. she said "no, you are verrry late."


so then i broke down and started crying and asked what in the world we were supposed to do. i had to call reservations, and i was on the phone for about a half an hour. we found a flight to take, which didn't leave until 10AM and didn't arrive in Maine until 11PM. it was a horrendous day. and even though josh wont admit it, it was all my fault.


so after flying and waiting and flying and waiting, our last flight was delayed, and we did not make it to portland until midnight. then, of course, our luggage wasnt there. [thankfully that arrived at our house this morning at 10:45AM. ]




so basically, it was an awesome day. i screwed everything up, wasted like a whole day of time, and an extra 6 something hundred dollars. however, now we are in maine. we are with family. we had fun today. and everything is good now. i feel like an advertisement for a mastercard commercial.
